Hello! I’m David Ellison.

For work, I am a computational linguist and software engineer. I’ve worked on software for spoken language recognition and understanding, search and information retrieval, and language modeling for touch-screen textual input. I’m also interested in formal languages and structured prediction, computational semantics, and NLP for humanities. I live in Seattle.

I write this website “by hand,” in Emacs using org-mode, and export it to hugo with ox-hugo.
